NC student wins National Poison Prevention Poster Contest
A student from North Carolina is the winner of the 2012 National Poison Prevention Week Poster Contest. Stephane Prieto Ponce of Durham submitted the winning poster in the 6th-8th grade division. Stephane's poster focuses on the curiosity of young children and the need to always keep potential poisons (like medicines and other personal care products) locked up away from children.

We congratulate Stephane for her nationally recognized poster on the 50th anniversary of National Poison Prevention Week. National Poison Prevention Week is held during the third week in March each year.
Thanks to Chewning Middle School and Mr. James Hensley, art teacher, for submitting the winning entry. We thank all the teachers and schools who participated in the poison prevention poster contest.
