The Carolinas Poison Center has created poison prevention curricula that can assist you with your injury prevention education. The curricula are designed to help you educate diverse audiences about the dangers of poisons, how to recognize poisons, and what to do in case of a poisoning emergency. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of unintentional injuries and deaths caused by poisoning.
The curriculum for each audience emphasizes:
--> clear health goals and outcomes --> personal and social responsibility --> age appropriate teaching methods and materials --> reinforcement of newly learned health behaviors
